Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms govern your use of medovacheckup.com and any check-up or home-testing kit you buy through it. The site is run by 至愈国际医疗管理咨询(北京)有限公司 (Medova Medical Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd.) (“Medova”, “we”). By creating an account or paying for a package you accept them.

1. What we do

Medova is a booking and coordination service. We present packages, take payment, arrange the appointment or post the home-testing kit, and help you in English along the way. The examination itself is performed by an independent licensed hospital or check-up centre, and home-test samples are analysed by an independent laboratory.

2. Your account

You need an account to book. Your login is your email address; keep your password confidential and tell us immediately if you believe someone else has used it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and in the examinee profiles you create. Before adding another person you confirm that they agree to it; for someone under 14 you must be their parent or legal guardian.

3. Packages and prices

Package contents are as listed on the package page at the time you order. Prices are in Chinese yuan (CNY); any other currency shown is a reference conversion, not an offer. We may correct an obvious pricing error before your appointment is confirmed, and will refund you in full if you do not accept the corrected price. A hospital may occasionally replace an examination item with an equivalent one; we will tell you if that happens.

4. Vouchers

  • A voucher represents one package. Paying for two packages gives you two vouchers.
  • Vouchers are not personal: you may use a voucher for any person, provided a profile exists for them.
  • A voucher is valid for 365 days from the date your payment is received. The check-up date must fall before the voucher expires.
  • We email you before a voucher expires. Once expired a voucher cannot be used, and extending it is at our discretion.

5. Booking, changing and cancelling

  • Appointments must be made at least 5 days before the check-up date.
  • Rescheduling, changing the city, changing the examinee and cancelling each count as one change. Your first booking does not count.
  • Each voucher allows a maximum of 3 changes. Once used up, further changes require our team.
  • You cannot change or cancel an appointment within 5 days of the check-up.
  • When you can have your money back, and how, is set out in our Refund Policy.

6. Home-testing kits

Home-testing kits are posted to the address you give us. Please give a complete and accurate address; we cannot dispatch until you do, and we are not responsible for a kit that cannot be delivered because the address or contact details were wrong. A kit can be refunded until it is dispatched; once dispatched it cannot (see the Refund Policy).

7. Payment

Card payments are taken by PingPong on its own payment page. Payments you send yourself go either by Wise to our Wise account, for the US dollar amount fixed when you place the order, or by Alipay to our Alipay account, for the order amount in Chinese yuan; write your order number in the payment reference or note. We do not store your card details. An order is only confirmed when the payment has actually been received. An unpaid order is cancelled automatically — after 3 hours for card payments, or after 7 days for Wise and Alipay payments — and you can start a new order at any time.

8. Medical disclaimer

  • Medova is not a hospital or a clinic and does not practise medicine. Nothing on this website, and nothing our team tells you, is medical advice.
  • Screening can suggest that something needs attention, but it cannot rule out every condition, and a screening result is not a diagnosis.
  • Decisions about treatment are between you and your doctor.
  • Please follow the preparation instructions for your package — for example fasting, or avoiding certain medication. If you do not, some tests may not be possible and no refund is due for those items.
  • Clinical responsibility for the examination, the analysis of samples and the report rests with the hospital or laboratory that performs them.
  • This service is not for emergencies. If you feel unwell, contact a doctor or call the local emergency number (120 in mainland China).

9. Reports

Reports are issued offline by the hospital or the laboratory and handed to the examinee by them. Medova does not issue, store or interpret reports, and there are no reports on this website. For another copy, contact the hospital or the laboratory.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for arranging the service with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for the medical judgement of the hospital or laboratory, for information you give us that turns out to be inaccurate, or for delays outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Your conduct

Do not misuse the site: no attempt to access accounts that are not yours, no automated scraping, no unlawful content, and no booking made with false information.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place an order or book an appointment. If we change them materially we will tell you by email.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, and disputes are subject to the courts of the place where Medova is registered, without affecting any right you may have to bring a claim in your own country of residence.
